Salvation by Faith Alone – Book of Romans
(Quarter 4, 2017)
Located at the junction of the North Esk and South Esk rivers, the city of Launceston is the second largest city in Tasmania.
It is within this beautiful city that the Launceston Seventh-day Adventist Church seeks to know, experience and share our hope in Jesus Christ.
We hear regularly of increases in natural disasters, crime, terrorism, political unrest, suffering, and other depressing circumstances that affect individuals and our society.
At the same time, we have been plunged into a period of unprecedented social, cultural, political, economic, and technological change. The simple and safe way of life we once took for granted seems to be fading away.
These occurrences, along with many other social and economic issues, may make us feel uncomfortable and apprehensive about the future. Our levels of anxiety may rise to the extent that our mental and physical health are affected, and our social and family relationships are put at risk.
Despite all the depressing news, we want to assure you that there is hope and a better outlook. Jesus has given us many wonderful promises in the Bible that can provide us with the comfort and confidence to walk safely into the future. Here is just one:
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am" (John 14:1-3).
Moved by our love for Jesus, and our desire to be a part of and to help our local community, the Launceston Seventh-day Adventist Church offers you support, friendship and spiritual nurture. We would love to meet you and share our hope for the future with you.
Yours in Christ,
